The Latest from Art by LAW, Awards, Weddings, Babies, Divas, AND Sexy Calenders

It has been a while, we have been very busy with lots and lots going one, wedding season is in full swing with my first wedding of the season- Liana and Carl on the 5th of May, they got married in a lovely little village in Moleworth, Cambridgeshire. The weather was quite cold still, but that didn't dampen the mood it was a fabulous wedding and a great start to the summer season. Here are a few of my favourite images of the day

And here is a lovely montage I put together, my personal favourite image is the wedding parting standing in for the band.

We at Art by LAW are also now producing wedding video slide shows check out our first attempt on youtube of Liana and Carls wedding

Now on to Babies-
I think there must be something in the water, I have been shooting many many pregnancy bumps and beautiful new babies this month, I have shot 7 bumps just this weekend!, its all so exciting we are always updating our exclusive range of props for new-borns, Our antique suitcase is a firm favourite, as is our over sized wooden bowl, we also have baskets lots and lots of flowers hats and a giant seashell.
Here we have little Ruby Grace born to Sarah and Ben on the  29th May, she visited the studio at just 2 weeks old, she is so beautiful and the perfect little model

We recently had a soon to be published writer in the studio, Alexia Casale, who has written her first novel 'The Bone Dragon', which sounds very intriguing and Im sure will be a best seller you can find out more by visiting
We shot Alexia's headshots which will appear on the back of her book

Diva parties, we love them here at the studio, this is Kristy's birthday party, the girls kept it patriotic for the queens jubelliee.
Diva parties are £35 a head with a minimum of 5 girls to a maximum of 10 for a 2 hour party including hair, makeup the shoot and a complimentary photo each

Cake smash-
Its been a craze over in America for a while and its becoming a craze over here. What is it? well basically you place your child infront of a large cake, preferably on their 1st birthday or just before, the results are mess and stickiness but this makes such a good and fun shoot to commemorate a special birthday. We can also produce exclusive videos of your cake smash as well as photographs. We recently produced a video of 1 year old Sophia Rose, my beautiful little niece which we show cased at her birthday party, it was a hugh hit, and will be a DVD that I'm sure Sophia will want to watch again and again, Its a very original gift idea, and can be added to a family photo-shoot session, we even provide the cake.
A full cake smash package is £250 and includes a fully produced and edited vidio on DVD and an extra large mounted photograph from the shoot, (smaller packages are avalible)
check out the video-

And now for  blowing my own trumpet-
Its been a good year for awards, I am a member of the SWPP (the society of portrait and wedding photographers) which is basically an international organisation for professional photographers. They have a monthly judging where you can enter images for awards, the SWPP expects the highest excellence from its members, and it is very difficult to achieve a highly commended and almost impossible to get a gold in the monthly judging.
Im prowd to announce that this year I finally got Gold in May, yippee, this means I can finally go to the awards ceremony at the end of the year, and could be put forward for photographer of the year, I have also achieved 5 Highly commended so far this year.

This is my Gold and its a portrait of my little girl Evie.
Below are my Highly Commended awards for this year so far

On a sad note...
A dear friend of mine and a member of Our Uxbridge Women in Business Network (WIBN), Lesley Barnes passed away suddenly from bowel cancer on the 19th of May. As a tribute to Lesley and to raise both awareness and money for this terrible disease we have decided to create a Pin-up Style calendar of some of our members OF WIBN. So 11 ladies including myself have bared all in the name of charity, some more-so than others, its a lovely way to celebrate the life of a very lively and lovely person, Lesley had a fantastic sense of humour and was always up for a laugh, I hope she is up there somewhere having a good laugh at us for doing this, Lesley will be greatly missed.
To find out more about the calendar please follow our Facebook page Lesley's Ladies

And lastly I will leave you with this lovely montage design I did of little Isabel, who is a client of mine that has been coming since she was in her mummy's tummy
