well its been a busy few weeks

between family and baby portraits I managed to finally shoot some test shots for Terratag Clothing, although the weather was not on my side Sunday so I will have to do a re-shoot, they wanted blueskyes (a little tricky this time of year) still There are a few great shots, but with a much more moody atmosphere than the brief

I did my first Christmas Black tie event (of the season) on Saturday which was allot of fun, managed to raise some money for Breakspear School. I print on site so they can take their photo's with them that evening.

Lastly I found out that I haven't been selected as 'Commended' or 'Highly Commended' for 'photographer of the year' I thought that was it and I was a little disappointed, but I discovered that I may still be in the running for 1st/ 2nd or 3rd prize so all is good, the winners will be announced early December so only a week or so until I'm put out of my misery, Still if I don't get any further, it was still a fantastic achievement to get as far as I did out of 100,000 entries.

Families and Babies

well Christmas is nearly upon us again and this month has defiantly been all about babies and families, I have been shooting a few for Christmas (I think you can't get much more thoughtful at Christmas then giving the ones you love pictures of the ones they love, its priceless, I do it every year, I give pictures of my little girl to both her grandparents and it always brings tears of joy, even when its so obvious what they are going to get (me being a photographer and all). Tomorrow I have my first toddler group of the season at little rascals (lets hope they are little angels and not rascals)and on Saturday I will be shooting families at an open day for Lighter Life.
have a look at this, one of my favorite images of last week, how beautiful is this little baby?
makes me almost want another one (I did say almost)

Moorpark Shoot

I did a fantastic shoot last week at Moorpark it was a last minute thing but after much begging and borrowing we where very lucy

managed to get the venue sorted and borrow some beautiful clothes from Pica Pica - an amazing vintage clothing and furniture shop in West Drayton we had a 1940's real blue fox coat (stunning) so thanks to Pica Pica for their generosity and thanks to the staff at MoorPark for letting us shoot there. I would also like to thank Lucy who is an amazing makeup artist which I will be defiantly working with in the future. everyone did a great job including my assistant for the day Tom, thanks always a pleasure working with you.
The band is also fantastic, newly formed so they are yet to come up with an official name, I will keep you posted. It was great to get out on location and do what felt like a proper creative editorial style shoot.
